chillers, pumps and piping as required to facilitate installation of
new chillers. Design and install two new chillers. One chiller shall be
100 percent of building load, (est. capacity 180-200 tons), other
chiller (Rotary Chiller) shall be standby 75 percent of load. The new
piping system shall be decoupled loop. Provide two new air compressors
for control air. Remove all electrical work not to be utilized in the
new installation. New chillers shall meet efficiency standards as
required by the Energy Policy Act of 1992. All design and construction
work shall comply at a minimum with the most recent edition: the
National Building Code, (maintained by the Building Officials and Code
Administrators International, Inc.), NFPA 70 (the National Electrical
Code) and all other applicable national and local building codes,
standards and zoning ordiances. Specifications & plans will be limited
to three (3) sets per contractor based on availability. All request
for plans, specifications and bidder mailing list must be made in
writing to the contracting office listed in block 6A, to the attention
of Victoria Longacre. Telephone requests are not acceptable. Please
use complete street address for mailing due to specifications being
sent out by UPS mailing. Specifications & plans will be available for
review at Local Plan Rooms, Bldg. Exchange, F.W. Dodge, GSA Office of
Enterprise Development --Region 4 and the Building Managers Office.
Government Bid Acceptance Time will be Sixty (60) Calendar Days.
Estimated dates: Issue: 07/03/95; Receipt of Proposals: 08/03/95.
