Contract Specialist, (202) 324-2283. The Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) has a requirement to obtain the services of
translation with the ability in a wide range of languages, including
but not limited to: Arabic, Chinese (all Dialects), Farsi, Japanese,
Korean, Russian, Sicilian, Thai and Vietnamese. Services shall be
performed at FBI field offices throughout the United States. This
requirement is contingent upon the availability of funds of the FBI,
and the award shall run through 9/30/95 with four (4) one year renewal
periods. Interested parties shall be U.S. Citizens, have successfully
passed the FBI Foreign Language Test Battery and have a Top Secret
Clearance. Call the local FBI field office to make arrangements to take
the language test. Translation companies may respond without taking the
initial test. Respondants should submit a statement setting forth teir
qualifications: including experience, education and test scores. The
qualifications statement should include the linquists complete name and
address, telephone number, social security number, date of birth and
proof of citizenship. Upon approval of the qualifications statement,
receipt of test scores and a limited name check, Request For Proposal
(RFP) 6837 will be issues. All offerors who respond to the RFP will be
