Aircraft Launching, Landing, and Ground Handling Equipment- Potential Sources Sought. This synopsis is not a request for proposal or bid, but a request for an expression of interest and capability information from Small and Disadvantaged Businesses within a two hour radius (ground transportation) of the Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey. Interested parties are requested to submit two copies of information which outlines their ability to support the effort which is described in this announcement. As a minimum the information should describe the company facilities, equipment, personnel and management capabilities, testing capabilities, primary subcontractors, major customers and the products produced for them, and a certification that the company is qualified as a Small Disadvantaged Business under the rules and regulations of the Small Business Administration. The NAWC-AD is considering establishing Basic Ordering Agreements with one or more SDB firms within the commuting area for the support of the manufacturing function at Lakehurst. Contractors would be required to provide manufacturing and fabrication services in support of military aircraft, visual landing aids, portable landing fields, ground support equipment, etc. for DOD and Foreign Miltary Sales customers. Functions will include, as a minimum, machining, metal fabrication, welding, painting, plating, inspection, preservation and packaging. The closing date for submissions is June 22, 1995.
