Robb (410) 278-2024 (Site Code DAAD05) U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground has a requirement to purchase two (2) each Lathes, Southwestern Industries model TRAK TRL on a brand name or equal basis. As a minimum, the lathe shall consist of the following: lathe shall be capable of performing turning, boring, facing and threading operations; measurement indicators shall be in U.s. Customary system of units; shall not contain mercury or mercury compounds; shall be manufactured to definite dimensions and tolerances to permit installation of replacement parts; bed shall have V-ways or flatways or a combination of ''V'' and flat ways to provide an alignment of the headstock and tailstock; and shall have a headstock spindle to support a chuck, faceplate or collet which in turn holds and provides rotation of the workpiece.
