Checks, Payroll Checks and Retirement Checks and statements for the Air
Force Nonappropriated Fund (NAF). The general checks, payroll checks
and retirement checks are drawn against a single account at HQ
AFSVA/SVFB, San Antonio, TX. The general and payroll checks are written
from Air Force bases at approximately 90 world-wide locations. The
retirement checks are written from one central location. The general
checks are 2-ply; the first ply is 24 lb. white bond paper, the second
ply is 15 lb. white bond carbonizing back self-contained. The payroll
and retirement checks are single ply 24 lb. white bond paper. The
payroll checks are single part checks (no statement). The retirement
checks are single part checks with perforated statements. All checks
will be printed with Magnetic Ink Character Recognition E13B font as
specified in ANSI X3.2-1970 ``Print Specifications for Magnetic Ink
Character Recognition'' and ANSI X9-13 1983 ``Specifications for
Placement and Location of MICR Printing.'' General Checks must be
``MICR Bond Safety Paper'' on all ply. The payroll and retirement
checks must be white ``MICR Bond Safety Paper.'' Consecutive MICR
numbers must correspond to the check number. The ``Symbol'' must be
printed in the upper right hand corner of all checks as outlined in the
processing financial institution's ``Specifications for Printing Common
Machine Language Characters E13B on Paper Checks Using Magnetic Ink.''
Written requests for copies of this solicitation must be received by
6 June 1995 or within 15 days after this appears in the CBD (Fax
(210)652-6309 or (210)657-5862). This is a nonappropriated fund
purchase and it does not obligate appropriated funds of the United
States Government. Nonappropriated funds are generated by the military
community through sale of goods and services and the collection of
fees and charges for participation in military community programs. This
