The Library of Congress intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with IA Corporation of Emeryville, CA for software upgrades to its Copyright Imaging System (CIS) which was custom-designed and installed by IA Corporation under a prior contract. Ths software upgrades are required to provide for (1) the processing of additional documents regarding copyright protection for foreign works as provided for by the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT); (2) modifications and enhancements to selected functions of the current system; and (3) the installation and integration of additional workstations with hardware furnished by the Library.
