This project involves completion of an Environmental Impact statement addressing prospective leasing of approximately 750,000 acres of National Forest System lands on the Los Padres National Forest for oil and gas exploration and development. The preparation of the EIS will include an impact analysis and documentation of that analysis. The work will require use of an Interdisciplinary approach by the contractor. The project or study area consist of the entire Los Padres National Forest with the exception of areas that have been congressionally or administratively withdrawn from leasing. Approximately 50% of the Los Padres will be involved in the study and need to be addressed in the EIS. This project is subject to the availability of funds. Option items may include the Draft EIS and Final EIS development and distribution. Estimated start work date September 15, 1995. Solicitation will be issued approximately 06/17/95.
