Service shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to perform maintenance, repair, and emergency repair of the potable water, non-potable water, and sanitary sewer systems, Arsenal-at-Large, US Army ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. This work shall include all the required site work (excavation, backfill, site restoration (topsoil, grass, platings) asphalt, paving and concrete work) that is necessary in the execution. Work includes, but is not limited to: (a) clean, flush, and disinfect piping, and identify pipe leaks; repair or replace pipe as necessary, (b) Inspect fire hydrants and main valves for leakage, inspect for proper lubrication, inspect and replace as necessary for broken or missing caps and nozzels, (c) Valves and other Appurtenances: Inspect and verify operation, inspect for leakage, repair, rebuild or replace as necessary, (d) Inspect, clean, verify and certify operation of backflow preventors; repair, rebuild, or replace as necessary, (e) Inspect, clean, and verify operation of water meters; repair, rebuild or replace as necessary, (f) Inspect and maintain proper lubrication of pumps (including well pumps), inspect for leaks, shaft wear, and end play, repair, rebuild, or replace as necessary, (g) Clean, flush, and disinfect storage tanks and appurtenances; inspect and identify leaks, repair and replace as necessary, (h) Clean and flush manholes, identify leaks, repair or replace as necessary, and inspect manhole benching and manhole/sewer pipe connections, (i) Lift stations: inspect and maintain proper lubrications of motor, pump, and shaft bearings, inspect for proper operation, inspect pump control and alarm systems, repair, rebuild, or replace as necessary. Period of Performance will be one year from date of award with two one year options. Minimum guarantee is $25,000.00. Funds are not presently available for this acquisition. No contract award will be made until appropriated funds are made available from which payment for contract purposes can be made. See Note 1. (0144)
