Z -- REPAIR TO SPRINKLER SYSTEM, BUILDING 1552, NAVAL STATION, MAYPORT, FLORIDA Sol Contract N62467-95-B-2507. Due 950718. POC OICC Office. The work incldes the repair of leaking threaded pipe joints in the overhead distribution piping of an Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) sprinkler systems. The existing piping system will be disassembled at all threaded joints, the joints will be thoroughly cleaned and reassembled with new sealant materials. The existing piping, fittings and sprinkler heads will be returned to the original location. All piping is located in Building 1552 which is a ``hot'' hangar (hanger containing fueled aircraft). Special construction schedules and requirements will be imposed due to the nature of the facility. Other asociated work will be required. Environmental protection and disposal of AFFF solutions will be the responsibility of the contractor. Bid opening date listed in item 10 is approximate. Request bid documents by 4 July 1995. Estimated cost is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns shall notify this office in writing, Attn: Code R20.3 of their intention to bid the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 days after this notice. THIS NOTIFICATION MUST INCLUDE A POSITIVE STATEMENT OF ELIGIBILITY AS A SMALL SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS CONCERN, EVIDENCE OF CAPACITY TO OBTAIN REQUIRED BONDS AND SPECIFIC INFORMATION WHICH DEMONSTRATES THE CAPABILITY TO PERFORM PROJECTS OF THIS COMPLEXITY AND MAGNITUDE. COMPLETE INFORMATION CONCERNING MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR WORK AND FINANCIAL STATUS SHALL BE SUBMITTED WITH REFERENCES.
