Z -- REPAIR SLASON BRIDGE, BALL MOUNTAIN LAKE, JAMAICA, VERMONT SOL DACW33-95-B-0073 DUE 071295 POC Jerry Nunziato, 617-647-8424 The work of this project consists of repairs to the steel and concrete of the Slason Bridge. Major work items include the complete removal of lead-based paint from steel surfaces and repainting of these surfaces, and jacking the bridge and replacing the fixed bearings with new steel laminated elastomeric bearings. Other work includes repairing repairing concrete spalls, cleaning and repairing concrete cracks, cleaning concrete surfaces, removing old and placing new concrete, and placing bituminous concrete pavement overlay. As the existing paint contains lead, removal work must be done as specified herein and in accordance with all applicable regulations regarding environmental and worker protection including containment, collection, and disposal of all lead contaminated debris. Estimated cost of the work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Work shall be completed within 180 calendar days. Plans and specifications available on or about 061295 at a cost of $14.00 per set.
