HQ Electronic System Center, Joint Tactical Distribution System (JTIDS) Joint Program Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal(RFP) to Teledyne Electronic Technologies, Los Angeles, CA., for CDH Devices (CDH U-TVB Production Model). These devices will provide COMSEC encryption capability for the JTIDS terminals. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), a solicitation will be issued to Teledyne Electronic Technologies. 12694 Panama Street, Los Angeles, CA., in mid-June 1995 and will remain open for thirty (30) days. Teledyne originally developed the CDH Device under National Security Agency auspices. Teledyne is the only source for these devices. There are no reprocurement data which could be used by another contractor. This device and its use are controlled by the National Security Agency (NSA). The Government contemplates a quantity of twenty-five (25) CDH Devices under this purchase. The period of performance for this effort is thirty two (32) weeks.
