The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center has a requirement to procure a Alcon Advanced Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery System on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as set forth in FAR 6.301-1. The required characteristics of the system are (1) Multi-frequency hand piece driver with two 40kHz ultrasonic handpieces, (2) TurboSonics ultrasonic tip design, (3) Advanced fluidics, (4) TurboStaltic peristaltic pump features a new one piece cassette design, (5) User interface incorporates a 256 color monitor that rotates and tilts for quick recognition of information. Any other firm that believes that it has the ability to meet the Government requirement is invited to respond to this notice by furnishing a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet, at a minimum, all stated features of the Government required equipment.
