The Phillips Laboratory is seeking sources of an anticipated requirement for a computer controlled video monitoring system with the following features: Shall be a ''turnkey'' system, controls up to 50 video cameras from a single control computer (PC, workstation), allows operator to select for display up to 4 cameras on a split screen providing auto switching between cameras as an option, offers option of digitizing up to 4 minutes of video data (from a selected camera) on removable digital media (DAT or CD), provides VHS recording (8 hours) for unmanned surveillance, initiates transmission of selected video from a single camera, via existing network, for display on an existing Phillips Laboratory central visual information system using ''composite video'' format, transmits signals (wireless, RGB, NTSC, S video) from cameras to the control computer (up to 300ft). Video display shall be low resolution color with 30 frames/sec scan rate. The system shall be expandable to a perimeter monitoring system covering up to 40 square miles with 50 cameras activated by motion detectors or individual selection with transmission (wireless and phone line) of low resolution video up to 15 miles.
