(USDA), Food and Consumer Service (FCS), is sponsoring a study which
will focus on the relationship of poverty to nutrition and health
status. This study must provide a comprehensive overview of: 1) the
relationship between poverty, nutrition and health status; 2) changes
in the nutrition and health status of the low-income population over
the last 30 years; and 3) the role of the network of FCS food
assistance programs in providing a nutrition safety net for individuals
living in low-income households. This study must be accomplished by
conducting an in-depth review of existing knowledge and supplementing
this with new analyses of data on the relationship of poverty to
nutrition security and health status. If you believe you have the
