Title and number of pages of the notified document: The Poisons (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1995. 6. Description of content: the control will require packagings of asbestos brake and clutch linings to carry caution label and require all vehicles registered on or after 1 April 1995 to use asbestos-free brake and clutch linings. 7. Objective and rationale: the labelling requirement will provide information and warning to the public about asbestos in the brake and clutch linings. The ban on the use of asbestos brake and clutch linings in new cars will reduce the risk of exposure to asbestos and asbestos products. 8.
