Non-personal services for installation of new antilock brake systems. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, work location, and transportation necessary for installation of antilock brake systems for 22 trailers and vans of various weights and sizes, ranging from GVW of 55,000 to 83,000 lbs. Antilock brake system must be WABCO or WABCO-compatible. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business firms. The work consists of removing and replacing existing parts and hardware to accommodate conversion of vehicle brakes with newly manufactured parts. Contractor will provide all technical parts and service manual data for each of the different systems installed. A 12-month, 12,000 mile full service and parts warranty shall be provided to include in-house, on-the-road, and in-place servicing and repair on trailers and vans within a 100-mile radius of Peterson AFB, CO. In emergency situations, contractor must be able to complete installation of antilock brake system within a 6-hour time frame. Contractor must be able to accommodate government security personnel at contractor facility during work performance. Performance period for the project is 5 months. The solicitation is scheduled for issue on or about 14 Jun 95 with proposals due on or about 14 Jul 95.
