This is not a Request for Proposals. We anticipate the release of a solicitation within approximately five or six months. The contractor will perform assembly and test to level 3 engineering data (complete parts lists, and all PCB artwork) of min quantity of 1300 each up to 3,000 each flight worthy control boxes. Production of control boxes rates of up to 300 per quarter. box contains 4 circuit boards, up to 8 layers, approximately 3'' x 7'' and interconnect with EMI connector/ gaskets. The Control Box case will be GFM. Wave soldering is desirable. ESS testing for process control is required. Contractor will also fabricate an aircraft interface cable with 4 connectors, approximately 18'' long with sheet metal mounting bracket. Contractor must have proven production capability on similar item(s) and have proven high-rel soldering/ESS-SPC capability. Delivery: First Article 90 days ARO, with first production schedule 60 days after first article approval. To include contract coverage for a basic and two one year options.
