The US Army, ARDEC intends to modify contract DAAA21-94-C-0079 with Olin Ordnance Corporation, St. Marks Operations to procure additional spheroidal propellant manufactured via a continuous waterborne ball powder process. The purpose of this effort is to develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate spheroidal propellant formulations and geometrics for use on 120mm enhanced ammunition. The propellant is to be tested in both increment containers and ignition cartridges. The contractor shall manufacture six lots, 100 lbs each of spherical M45 type propellant salt type, two lots, 400 lbs each M44 type propellant and conduct various tests. See number Note 22. (0150)
