COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF june 1,1995 PSA#1358Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, 550 17th St., NW, Washington, DC
20429 D -- SOFTWARE Contact Brenda J. Butler, Contracting Officer,
202/942-3242. Clarification: The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
(FDIC) Improvement Act of 1991 required certain changes in deposit
insurance coverage. The majority of the FDIC's deposit insurance
regulations such as the basic rules concerning individual, joint and
testamentary accounts remain unchanged. However, the law made other
important revisions to the insurance rules that became effective in
1992 and 1993 in the area of pension and other employee benefit plan
accounts as well as certain fiduciary accounts. The FDIC is searching
for off the shelf personal computer based software that will assist
staff in answering questions about the deposit insurance regulations.
The software must also be able to calculate FDIC insurance coverage on
various deposit accounts from information entered about the accounts
and account holders. An analysis should be done to reflect the insured
and uninsured funds by depositor and by account. The software must
operate on a stand alone IBM compatible personal computer within the
DOS or Windows environment. It is preferable but not mandatory that the
software operate within the Banyan Local Area Network environment.

requirements listed above, please provide information on the software
