COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF june 1,1995 PSA#1358``THE SUCCESSFUL SMALL BUSINESS: CHARTING A NEW COURSE WITH PROCUREMENT
REFORM'' is a full-day procurement reform conference on Monday, June
19, 1995, at the Earle Brown Heritage Center, Brooklyn Center,
Minnesota. Hosted by Minnesota Project Innovation, Inc., the event will
feature guest presentations by U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone and the
Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Philip Lader.
The conference is geared towards small businesses that are already
doing business with the federal government or that want to enter the
federal marketplace. The day's programming will include workshops on:
``Electronic Data Interchange: Concept or Reality;'' ``Selling to the
Government in the Era of Reform;'' ``Defining and Understanding your
Socio-Economic Status;'' ``Commercialization of Military Specs and
Standards;'' and ``How Reform Will Impact the Way Prime Contractors
Work with Small Business.'' The event is sponsored by the Minnesota
Department of Administration, the Minnesota Department of
Transportation, Minnesota Power, Minnesota Technology, Inc. and U.S.
West Communications. The cost for the full-day conference, including
