The work to be performed under this solicitation consists of modification of the existing embankment dam and outlet works to improve static stability and seepage conditions. The dam work will include clearing and grubbing, excavation of a portion of the dam embankment and foundation to remove unsuitable material, construction of a pervious sand filter element against the existing embankment, installation of a filter element collector drain, and earthfill construction to flatten the downstream slope. Existing outlet works work includes the installation of a liner in the existing outlet works pipe, extension of the outlet works pipe through the new embankment to be constructed, and repair of the existing outlet works gate. Work will also include raising the height of the existing stone masonry spillway walls to accommodate the embankment modifications, placement of topsoil, seeding, and installing an erosion control blanket on newly constructed fill slopes.
