The family housing units are located in Area 8, Aberdeen Proving Ground; and Areas 26, 27, and 28, Grant Court and Commissary Row in the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground. Work includes lead and asbestos abatement (8 units); architectural storage, sound attenuation between party walls, weatherizing sun porch, ceramic tile, vinyl composition floor tile, roofing, insulation, concrete, stone, painting, GWB; mechanical work to include plumbing, upgrade of heating system to include new air conditioning, attic fans, and electrical work to complete interior electrical upgrade and new underground electrical distribution. This project represents a reprocurement of a previous contract termination for the convenience of the Government. Residual construction materials and equipment will be available as Government-Furnished and Contractor-Installed Equipment. Magnitude of construction is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Duration of the project is 365 calendar days.
