Scope of work consists of installing a ventilation system for repair bay in the Base Fire Station, building 706, servicing fire vehicles and refueling truck maintenance activities. Includes modification of existing electrical and structural systems to accommodate the new ventilation system. Ventilation system includes all fans, controls, ductwork, diffusers, hoods, fire dampers, etc. necessary to meet AF design criteria, manufacturers installation guidelines, NFPA/OSHA/UL/AFOSH standards, and building codes. Approximate size of vehicle maintenance bay to be serviced: 96' L x 42' W x 22' H. The SIC Code is 1711. Magnitude of construction is $25,000 to $100,000. Project performance period is 45 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued o/a 08 Aug 95. Dates are for estimating purposes only and may be revised as indicated in the IFB. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, but not later than 15 calendar days from the publication date of this notice indicate interest in this acquisition by providing to the Contracting Officer above, written evidence of capability to perform and a written Certification of Eligibility as a small, socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest and evidence is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will then be issued on an unrestricted basis to large and small business concerns, as well as SDB concerns.
