Gaessler, (407)882-6508 It is the intent of the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida to negotiate sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with G.A. Braun, Inc, 461 East Brighton Avenue, P.O. Box 70, Syracuse, New York 13205, manufacturer for a gas heated pass-through dryer (Braun/Norman Model 440) and Lint filter with heat recovery system (T.E.A. Model 8082). It is essential that the gas dryer, conditioning tumbler and lint filter system be entirely compatible with the laundry equipment and systems already in place. The control panels must have interconecting features that are able to work along side present Braun gas heat dryer. The existing equipment and systems already in place consist of a Braun/Norman Model 440 gas heated pass-through dryer and a T.E.A. Model 8085 Lint filter with heat recovery system. This is a sole source requirement and if no affirmative written responses are received that a comparable source is available, a sole source contract will be negotiated. Responses indicating an interest in this acquisition must be received within 15 calender days of publication of this notice. If no responses are received by June 20, 1995 negotiations will begin on June 21, 1995. Interested parties must submit descriptive literature with their response proving their capability to respond to the requirements. NOTE: All requests for solicitaion documentsmust be in writing to the attention of the named Contracting Officer, reference the RFP number and include the firm's name, point of contact, address and telephone number.
