54 -- CONVERT THE TRANSONIC DYNAMICS TUNNEL (TDT) LIQUID STORAGE TANK FROM R-12 TO R-134A POC NASA Langley Research Center, Industry Assistance Office, Mail Stop 144, Hampton, VA 23681-0001. In order that potential sources may offer comments on a Draft Statement of Work requirement, an advance notice is published here. Inputs are being requested from firms capable of peforming the work to convert the 40,000 gallon TDT liquid storage tank from R-12 to R-134a. The work requirements include: 1) Remove approximately 200,000 pounds of R-12 from the existing liquid storage tank, 2) Decontaminate the tank to specified R-12 and moisture residual levels, 3) Furnish and deliver approximately 350,000 pounds of virgin R-134a to the storage tank, and 4) Apply the trade-in value of the existing R-12 to the purchase of the new R-134a. NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) is issuing Request for Information (RFI) 1-123-RFI on or about June 2, 1995, and responses will be due 14 days thereafter. Requests for 1-123-RFI shall be submitted to NASA LaRC, Industry Assistance Office, Mail Stop 144, Hampton, Virginia 23681-0001. This RFI is intended to solicit inputs to the proposed Statement of Work, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
