the Ministry of defence invites, via an enabling agreement, tenders for
the supply, delivery, installation and support of multi user computer
systems to support up to 50 users, using intel or intel compatible
processors if a range of systems is offered, they must be binary
compatible hardware- host/server systems, pc clients, terminals,
printers and ancillary devices software- arrange of operating systems
to include Unix (xpg4 base branded), novell netware and windows ntas
services- installation, training and consultancy support- hardware
maintenance and software support period of agreement- the agreement
will commence 1 June 1996 and run for a period of 24 months minimum
delivery will be to various mod units and establishments, hm prison
service, and possibly other government departments or agencies in the
United Kingdom qualifications- unless evidence as to technical
capablity and financial standing has already been supplied in the last
2 years (in which case, give details as to when and to whom this
evidence was provided), the following evidence as specified in
directive 77/62/EEC, as amended by directive 88/295/EEC, article 22 1
and 23.1 should be provided: proof of the potential supplier's
financial and economic standing is required and they should supply the
following at the time of their expression of interest I submission of
last annual report and balance sheet II statement of overall annual
turnover in respect of the goods to be covered by the enabling
agreement for the previous 3 financial years evidence of the ability to
deliver enabling agreement requirements to a suitable standard should
be furnished as follows I approximate shipment volumes for the goods
and services to be covered and also for other goods and services
providing covering the past 2 years II descriptions of the
organisation's size and structure and detailed descriptions of its
technical and sales support facilities III descriptions of measures for
ensuring quality control, including reference to any independent
certified audit standard achieved the Ministry of defence requires all
suppliers to be registered to bs en iso 9000 however, potential
suppliers that are able to supply evidence that they are actively
seeking registration within 12 months May be considered failure to
supply the above information will automatically result in the
expression not being registered and an invitation to tender will not be
issued applicants who have not been notified by 29 June 1995 should
