It is the Government's intent to acquire on a specified make and model basis an Electronic Digital Imaging System and Still Photography System consisting of the following items: 1 Ea Kodak DCS 460 Digital Camera; 1 Ea Kodak PCD 600 CD Writer and Disk Transport W/8 MB Buffer; 1 Ea Kodak XLS 8600 PS (Postscript) Thermal Dye Diffusion Printer; 1 Ea Kodak RFS 2035 Plus Rapid 35MM Film Scanner; 1 Ea Leaf Systems, Inc. Lumina Flat Art, 3D, Film Scanner, Digital Camera (Lel/Reg/Lumina); 1 Ea Nikon N90SSLR Camera Body; 1 Ea Nikon MB-10 Vertical Grip F/N90s/N90 W/Battery Tray; 1 Ea Nikon 70-210MM F/4-5.6 D-Auto Focus Zoom Lens; 1 Ea Nikon 28-85MM F/3.5-4.5 Auto Focus Zoom Lens; 1 Ea Nikon 60MM F/2.8 D-Auto Focus Lens; 1 Ea Nikon 24MM f/2.8 D-Auto Focus Lens; 1 Ea Sigma 18MM f/3.5 F/NIKON Mount Auto Focus Lens; and 1 Ea Nikon SB-26 Speedlight Flash Unit certified to be new. All items must be compatible for use as a system. Delivery is required 30 days after contract award at FOB Destination, Redstone Arsenal, AL, 35898-5280. Specific make and model specification means a description of the Government's requirement for FIP resources that is so restrictive that only a particular manufacturer's products will satisfy the Government's needs regardless of the number of suppliers that may be able to furnish that manufacturer's products. In accordance with 40 U.S.C. 759(g) as implemented by FIRMR 201-39.601-3 and FAR 6.302-1 this is solicited as a specific make and model specification. The Kodak DCS460 camera and attendent systems as cited above is the only electronic digital still photographic equipment currently available capable of producing photographic end products, normally 8 x 10 inch prints and viewgraphs, showing no perceivable artificially introduced optical anomalies by providing a minimum 2,000 x 3,000 pixel image.
