NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center intends to place an order against GSA Schedule for the purchase and installation of a laser printing subsystem capable of accepting electronically transferred data in a channel-attached mode from an IBM ES/9021-500 mainframe computer. The contractor shall be responsible for delivery and installation of the equipment, including connecting all power supply, and bus and tag cables. Specifically, this system shall be capable of printing approximately 1,100,000 cut sheet pages per month, stitching up to 50 sheets of cut sheet paper at a time, able to print on one or both side of paper (duplex) under software control, and shall be field-upgradable to accept installation of an 18-track, IBM 3480-formatted magnetic tape drive. All quotes shall include cost of equipment, delivery, two sets of manuals required for operation and maintenance, all cables necessary for connection to existing mainframe equipment and power (bus and tag- minimum 75ft. each, electrical connection- minimum 50ft.), installation of equipment, minimum 8-hour on-site training of GSFC staff on operation and maintenance of equipment, one year warranty, any credits, and trade-in of a Xerox 4050.
