''The Naval Research Laboratory is seeking sources for a large screen, non-CRT, display to be used on military helicopters in a tactical enviroment. The display area size shall be at least 27 inches diagonal and shall be capable of full color VGA resolution, or better. Input power shall be either 110 VAC at frequencies of 60 to 400 Hz, or 28 VDC. The display shall be capable of operating in a helicopter enviroment, which includes extended temperature ranges and vibration requirements. The display shall be capable of operating over reduced atmospheric pressures at altitudes of up to 18,000 feet. Critical design features to be considered in the selection of a source include large screen size, low power consumption, minimum weight, and minimal overall display depth. Anticipated production quantities may exceed 200 units.''
