Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to remove and replace sidewalks, curbs and handicap access slopes on the primary island, located north of Building 200. Work will involve, but is not limited to, the removal of all existing concrete sidewalks and curbing on both islands and re-leveling of gravel fills for the installation of new curbing, sidewalks and handicap ramps, and the tie-in of two drainage systems to the existing storm drains. The work shall be performed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation, drawing, and all applicable codes and standards. The work shall be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines Hospital, Hines Il. 60141. (Hines is located approximately 13 miles west of Downtown Chicago). Bid documents will be available after June 19, 1995, by written request to the Contracting Officer, accompanied by a refundable deposit check of $35.00. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit planned for July 6, 1995, at 10:00am local time. Bid opening date is scheduled for July 25, 1995 at 1:30pm local time.
