This tank shall be replaced by a concrete-vaulted fire-resistant, aboveground storage tank (AST) and all necessary ancillary equipment. The project also includes upgrading Tank 873-1 (containing JP-5 jet fuel) at the Naval Aviation Depot (NADEP) to meet EPA and Florida DER requirements. Work includes replacing existing underground pipeing with double walled pie and leak detection and providing ne hi-lo level alarms for the tank. Both of the above sites shall require a temporary fuel tank to avoid interruption of service. The contractor shall be a Florida DER certified tank removal contractor.
