A -- A -- F/A-18 CIT INTEGRATION POC Contact, STEVE FRATE, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract modification against Contract N00019-94-C-0084 for the design and fabrication of support equipment required for the incorporation of the Combined Interrogator/Transponder (CIT) Identification Friend/Foe system into the F/A-18 C/D aircraft. NAVAIR intends to negotiate this order with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft, and as such, the only firm possessing the technical knowledge, expertise, and detailed familiarity with the design and specifications of the F/A-18 aircraft required to provide the required support equipment in a timely manner.
