This contract is one of several contracts to inventory cultural resources on federal and tribal lands surrounding Lake Roosevelt. The contractor awarded this contract will not only complete the survey of federal lands, but will be responsible to integrate all data and reports produced by other participating parties into a final synthetic study on the historic and prehistoric archeological resources of Lake Roosevelt. The operation of Coulee Dam has had a significant adverse impact on the cultural resources at Lake Roosevelt. The prospective contractor will prepare a detailed research design to: (1) conduct an extensive systematic archeological survey of federal lands around Lake Roosevelt; and (2) prepare a final report dealing with the archeological significance of the resource and the effect of dam operations on those resources.
