Indian Community, P.O. Box E, Sacaton, AZ 85247 C -- ARCHITECT/ENGINEER SERVICES The Gila River Indian Community,
Department of Land and Water Resources Department announces its
intention to negotiate several contracts for Architect/Engineer
services to be performed under Basic Ordering Agreements to be issued
by the Department throughout the term of the contract. The work to be
performed under each Basic Ordering Agreement will include certain
engineering planning, preparation of design criteria, designs,
specification, and contract documents for the construction and/or
rehabilitation and betterment of irrigation delivery (300 cfs to 2000
cfs) and distribution facilities including related structural measures.
The purpose of the contracts is to provide the necessary technical
assistance for the initiation of construction for the delivery and
distribution of Central Arizona Project, existing, and other potential
water supplies (approx. 2000 cfs) to 146,330 acres of lands on the
Gila River Indian Community in Central Arizona (Maricopa and Pinal
County). Firms responding to this notice should furnish a resume of
their experience and expertise. The ratings of the responding firms
will be based on the following criteria: 1) Professional qualifications
and experience of proposed key personnel for satisfactory performance
in establishing criteria related to Farm Unit Planning, operation,
maintenance, rehabilitation, replacement, and betterment of irrigation
delivery and distribution facilities. - max. 30 points. 2) Specialized
experience and technical competence of the firm in water resources
planning, comparative studies, geological investigations, preparation
of design criteria, designs, specifications, and construction contract
documents related to water delivery (300 cfs to 2000 cfs) and
distribution facilities including flood protection, regulatory storage,
bridges, siphons and water control facilities. - max. 30 points. 3)
Past performance of the firm in terms of cost control, quality of work
and compliance with performance schedules - max. 20 points. 4)
Experience of the firm in working with federal and Indian governments.
- max 10 points. 5) Familiarity with the area in which the Gila River
Indian Community is located. - max 10 points. At least three qualified
firms will be selected for negotiation of contracts under this notice.
To be considered qualified, firms must obtain at least eighty percent
of the total available points. Architect/Engineer firms meeting
requirements and desiring consideration for selection should submit a
Statement of Qualifications including completed SF-254 and SF-255 on or
before close of business June 30, 1995. Consideration will be given to
interested firms who respond. This is not a request for proposals.
