Defense Mapping Agency (DMA), (under authority granted by Federal
Technology Transfer Act of 1986 (FTTA); Executive Order 12591,
Facilitating Access to Science and Technology; DoD 3200.12-R-4 of 27
Dec 88, Domestic Technology Transfer Program Regulation), is interested
in forming Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs)
with industry partners in technical areas of mutual benefit for
technology development, demonstration and transfer. Technology areas in
which DMA has performed substantial research and development and will
consider CRADA partnerships include, but are not limited to: Advanced
Technologies for Mapping, Charting and Geodesy (MC&G); Geospatial
Information (Extraction, Display, Transmission and Retrieval)
Technologies; Remote Sensing Technology; Hydrographic Data Collection;
Large-Scal Data Management, Formatting and Storage; Geographic
Information Systems; Large-Scale Data Management, Formatting and
Storage; Geographic Information Systems; Large-Scale Computer-Based
Systems and Software Engineering, Reengineering, Migration, Maintenance
and Infrastructure; and High Performance Computing. Interested parties
are strongly encouraged to contact DMA for individual Principal
Investigators interested in their particular technology area and to
request a DMA CRADA Handbook which provides further information on DMA

submitting abstracts or offers should send them to the Contracting
Officer listed below. Evaluation of each CRADA offer will be
accomplished through a scientific, legal and programmatic review. Upon
review, DMA will provide feedback on the likelihood of a CRADA
partnership. This notice, in conjunction with the DMA CRADA Handbook,
constitutes the total BAA. This BAA shall remain open until 4:00 P.M.,
September 30, 1995. Interested parties may contact the technical POC
for any of the above information. However, all interested parties who
desire to submit a CRADA offer for DMA review and consideration must
