Removal and Disposal of Hazardous Wastes generated at the VA Medical Centers, Brockton/West Roxbury, MA and the VA Outpatient Clinic, Worcester, MA. The principal items of work include but are not limited to the packaging, transporting, treatment and disposal of waste of fuel oils, medical laboratory wastes, oils, oil filters, coolants, mercury-based fluorescent light bulbs, sodium or vapor lamps, mercury spill clean-ups, mercury contaminated debris, aerosols, lead-acid batteries, Ni-cad batteries, lithium batteries, laser printer/photocopies toner, friable and/or non-friable asbestos, scintillation vials, PCB-containing light ballasts, non-reactive lab pack chemicals, lab pack mercury waste, unknown lab pack chemicals, etc. All wastes are to be removed and disposed of in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to waste handling and disposal. This is a requirements type contract. Performance will be for the period 8/1/95 - 9/30/95, with three one-year renewal options. Requests for bid package must be in writing.
