This agency intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Picker International, Inc. 595 Miner Road, Cleveland, OH 44143. A determination by the Government to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. Those vendors that do not submit clear and convincing proof of their ability to meet the requirements will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis and will not be further contacted. Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), states ''when the services required by the agency are available from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for.''
