DO NOT REQUEST PLANS NOW. A SOLICITATION NOTICE WILL BE PUBLISHED BEFORE INVITATIONS ARE ISSUED. The work includes removal and properly dispose of one 5,500 gallon underground storage tank (containing diesel fuel) and any contaminated soil at Building 2080. This tank shall be replaced by a concrete-vaulted fire-resistant aboveground storage tank (AST) and all necessary ancillary equipment. The project also includes upgrading Tan 873-1 (cntaining JP-5 jet fuel) at the Naval Aviation Depot (NADEP) to meet EPA and Florida DER requiremnts. Work includes replacing existing underground piping with double walled pipe with leak detection and providing new hi-lo level alarms for the tank. Both of the above sites shall require a temporary fuel tank to avoid interruption of service. The contractor shall be a Florida DER certified tank removal contractor. Following tentative dates apply: Issue invitations 6/95, open bids 7/95, complete contract 1/96. Estimated cost is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. (151)
