58 -- ANTENNA SYSTEM POC J. Nunez, CG-ESD-2 Valencia Mitchell, Contracting Officer. The John F. Kennedy Space Center requires a 28 foot S/L-Band high speed tracking antenna system to be refurbished. This antenna system is located at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. This is to include replacement of all worn and out of tolerance parts with the latest revision of system design. The antenna system shall be cleaned, repaired and extensive corrosion protection applied. The antenna shall be modified to permit the remote switching from S-band to L-band frequencies. The present launch schedule permits only one window of opportunity for refurbishment which must be competed by mid-February 1996. The Contractor shall supply all services for disassembly, repair, assembly, training, documentation and testing. The contractor must comply with all California state and local environmental regulations. Acceptance is based on the first operational use of the system. The contractor must be in the business of refurbishing large, high speed tracking antenna systems and show specific experience in refurbishing a minimum of three large Scientific Atlanta high speed tracking antenna within the past four years. All responsible sources may submit a written response to the notice for consideration by the Agency. The response should include a description of the technical qualifications and experience of the responder.--Proposed issuance on or before 06/16/95.--This is NOT a request for proposal.
