Repair of the AHRS Gyroscope is transitioning from NADEP Norfolk to NADEP North Island during the June 1995 through November 1996 timeframe. During this eighteen (18) month bridge period, the Navy needs a commercial source to provide repair coverage.\ The subject requirement shall be solicited as a requirements contract with a one (1) year base period and a one (1) year option. The estimated quantity for the entire period is 1066 units. The estimated dollar value for the contract is $5,330,000.00. All parts and components needed to accomplish repair shall be furnished by the contractor. Only currently approved sources will be solicited since the source approval process takes a minimum of 12 months.\, See Note 22(0153)
