The acquisition is for furnishing, integrating, installing, testing, training and supporting the Presearch Inc. Pathfinder System which will provide FDA analysts in the Office of Criminal Investigations with the ability to analyze information drawn from large government and commercial data sources and the ability to sort, arrange, compare, search, retreive, and visualize the content of thousands of documents at a time. The system must have compatability with criminal investigative systems used by other Federal Agencies with whom the Office of Criminal Investigations has occasion to collaborate with such as the National Security Agency etc. In this regard the Pathfinder system has been successfully installed and integrated into over 20 Government Agencies. In addition Presearch Inc. has trained over 200 Government analysts at other agencies in the operation of the Pathfinder system which provides a potential pool of systems analysis expertise that FDA could draw on if needed.
