necessary to perform routine drydocking repairs to the USCGC Cimarron
(WLR-65502) and its barge. The major items which may be iinclude but
are not limited to the following: 1.perserve tender and rew linings 2.
remove and reinstall propellers 3. clean and test grid coolers 4.
overhaul, renew and test valves 5. inspect, overhaul and test barge
boat davit 6. overhaul air capstan 7. inspect, overhaul and test

strainer plates and grid cooler recesses 9. routine drydocking 10. per
drydocking alighnment inspection 11. temporaray logistics 12. welding
repairs 13. preserve underwater body 14. renew corrotion preventative
zinc anodes 15. ultrasonic testing 16. renew doors and hatches.
Homeport is Buchanan, TX--Vessel's lenght is 65' and barge length is
130' --Vessel's availability schedule is 25 Sept 1995--the place of
performance for USCGC Cimarron's Sept 1995 yard avaliability is
restricted to the Western Rivers of the United States. The ''Western
Rivers'' means the navigable portions of Mississippi River and its
tributaries of the Mississippi River include only the waterways within
the areas of jurisdiction of Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Facilities
as described in Light List Volume V (COMDTINST M16502.5), and the
Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to the month of the Mobile River. This
include connected portions of the Intra Coastal Waterway connected to
the ''Western Rivers,'' but specifically excludes unprotected or open
waters such as Mobile Bay, Lake Borne, or the Gulf of Mexico. There
will be a non-refundable charge required in the form of a certified
check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in the amount
of $100.00 for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification refernce
drawings--the proposed contract listed here is a part of the Small
Business Competetive Demonstration Program and is open to both large
and small businesses--plans or specifications will be issued on or
after 21 June 1995--all responsible sources may submit a bid which
shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority,
Woomen-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Traneportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payments bonds up to $500,000 per
contract.DOT provides 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
