202/287-9150 X161. The War Gaming and Simulation Center (WGSC), acting
under the President of National Defense University (NDU), undertakes
a program of infusing new technologies, in particular decision support
systems, into the process of gaming and simulation to enhance the
education of future military leaders and to support the current
community of military and policy decision-makers. Given the dramatic
geo-political changes that have taken place in recent years, and the
resulting demands on military and policy leaders for rapid and
innovative approaches to decision-making, there is a need to ensure
that WGSC can provide state-of-the-art support to gaming and simulation
participants. The Center's initiatives include the identification of
methods in which decision support systems can be applied to enhance
simulations and games, the acquisition of decision support systems, and
support for infusion of such systems where appropriate. The work to be
conducted under this contract will be in support of these efforts. The
scope of this effort will cover the following three areas: 1) Analysis
of the application of decision support systems to enhance specific
gaming and simulation objectives and processes. 2) Identification,
acquisition, and development of decision support systems. 3) Provisions
of support for the infusion of decision support systems into the gaming
and simulation environment. The type of contract anticipated will be a
time-and-materials, task order/requirements type contract for a base
year plus one option year. Request for copies must be in writing to the
Contracting Office. Fax requests are acceptable at 202-287-9142. Please
refer to solicitation DAHC32-95-R-0005. There are a limited number of
