Davis, (410)687-8875 Work shall include provisions for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and any other items necessary for Project 95-107, ''Renovate Toilets & Showers, B225.'' Work includes renovation of approximately 3,000 square feet of patients' toilets and showers at the second, third and fourth floors in Building 225. Work includes: (1) Demolition (finishes, partitions, door/frame/hardware, toilets and showers equipment, mechanical and electrical items, and minor asbestos and lead paint abatement), (2) Finishes renovation (floor and wall tiles, painting, acoustical tile ceilings), (3) Installation of doors/frames/hardware, (4) Government furnished equipment (hydrotherapy bath tubs, washer and dryer units, bed pan washer-sanitizer), (5) Replacement of toilet partitions, shelving, accessories, (6) Communication renovation (nurse call system), (7) Electrical renovations (wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures), (8) Mechanical renovations (HVAC, plumbing and fixtures, fire sprinklers relocation, interior cleaning of existing ductwork), (9) Protection of existing property and clean-up of work areas, and (10) Disposal off station of trash, construction debris and hazardous materials (lead paint and asbestos). All work shall be as required by drawings and specifications at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fort Howard, Maryland. Issue date for the IFB package will be on or about June 26, 1995. IFB package MUST be requested in writing and will be issued to prime contractors only. Requestors MUST certify prime contractor status on request for IFB package. Bid opening date is July 26, 1995, at 2:00 p.m. local time at place of bid opening. The estimated cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This solicitation is subject to full and open competition. Subject to availability of FY '95 funds. (0153)
