This project includes all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and performance of all operations necessary for the construction of ADAL Building 1218. Work includes replace flooring, ceilings and interior wall finishes, upgrade lighting, replace and repair plumbing and heat systems. Provide shower and toilet facilities for both sexes. Minimal demolition and construction of interior walls. Limited landscaping and drainage improvements. Provide classrooms, briefing rooms, orderly rooms, offices, administrative support space and storage rooms. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Anticipated issuance date for IFB Solicitation Number F14614-95-B0023 is 16 June 95. Tentative opening date is 16 June 95. Performance period will be 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Standard Classification Code is 1542. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 calendar days of this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. No telephone requests for bid sets will be honored.
