with the Mini Eyesafe Laser Infrared Observation Set (MELIOS),
AN/PVS-6. The Army intends to award one firm-fixed-price contract for
up to 5400 C/VAM modules with a 100% option. Award will be made on a
best value basis. Potential offerors must have clearance to receive
classified information. A draft of the statement of work and
performance specification have been posted on the Electronic Bulletin
Board. The US Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has
established an Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to provide electronic
transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitation for Bids
(IFBs) from government to industry. EFFECTIVE 1 OCTOBER 1994, All
SOLICITATIONS ISSUED FROM FORT MONMOUTH FOR ACQUISITIONS OVER The SMALL
PURCHASE THRESHOLD WILL BE SOLICITED VIA THE EBB. AFTER 1 OCTOBER 1994,
ONLY THOSE PARTIES WHO Do NOT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY To ACCESS
THE EBB WILL BE FORWARDED HARD COPIES UPON REQUEST. HOWEVER, As OF 1
JAN 95 HARD COPY WILL NO LONGER BE DISTRIBUTED. (Exceptions are Post,
Camp and Station Acquisitions.) All interested parties wishing to do
business with CECOM are invited to access, send and receive data from
the CECOM EBB system. To become a user of the EBB, you will need an
identification code and password in addition to a computer terminal
equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the
EBB system. Detailed information regarding system requirements is
contained in the U.S. Army CECOM EBB User's Manual. A User's Manual,
Identification Code and Password will be issued upon request. All
requests must include 1) Company Name, 2) Point(s) of contact name(s)
and title(s), 3) return address(es), and 4) telephone number(s). Please
