This acquisition is for engineering and technical services related to the Relative Navigation (REL NAV) function of the Joint Tactical Information and Distribution System (JTIDS) and the Multi-Functional Information Distribution System - Low Volume Terminal (MIDS-LVT). Basic tasks under this acquisition will be systems engineering analysis of Navy Battle Force operational employment of the REL NAV capability, review and monitoring or REL NAV algorithm and related software, modification and maintenance of the REL NAV Analytic Simulator (RNAS), validation of JTIDS and MIDS terminal documentation and drawings to ensure compliance with the terminal design and system requirements specifications, evaluation of the REL NAV function during terminal qualification tests, integration of the REL NAV function with host platforms, identification and resolution of REL NAV design differences to ensure compatibility and interoperability among the U.S. Joint Services and NATO systems, and software modifications and system enhancements for the Problem Tracking Data Base (PTDB).
