The Gemini 8-m Telescope Project has been commissioned to design and build an astronomical observatory on the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. The Gemini project is an international effort operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) under contract to the National Science Foundation. Qualified firms are currently being sought to install the interior systems of the observatory shell, including the mechanical system, electrical and control systems, and interior walls and finishes.
