pioneering breakthrough associated with the development of high
temperature superconducting tape by a thick film deposition approach.
LANL will be sponsoring a conference and tour in order to share with
industry, universities, and research institutions the results of LANL
research as well as LANL's commercialization strategy for the benefit
of U.S. industry. Technical presentations will include information
concerning ion-beam-assisted deposition of zirconia on nickel alloys as
well as subsequent laser ablation of superconducting thick films.
Criteria for commercialization opportunities and/or collaborative
efforts with benefit to U.S. industries (e.g. licensing, etc.) will be
outlined as well as a review of the appropriate contracts and
agreements. Limited time will be available for industry representatives
to discuss such opportunities individually with LANL personnel.
Registration for the commercialization conference will include workshop
attendance, tour, meals during the meetings including a reception and
a dinner with a nationally prominent guest speaker, and transportation
between the meeting site and Los Alamos. Location: Albuquerque, New
