All requests and questions must be in writing, Contract Specialist,
Delores Thompson-GAD, Contracting Officer. Contractors must have access
to Marine Railway Travel Lift or Floating Dry Dock. Contractor must be
capable of handling vessels 65 ft in length, 24 foot beam, 6 foot
draft and weight of 80 tons. Contractor will provide oncall maintenance
for the Liberty II, III and IV. The Liberty II is used as a freight
vessel, 65 ft in length, 18 ft beam, 6 ft draft, welded steel, 50 tons,
single 6-71 Detroit in line, twin disc 3-1 reduction, 8KVA Westerbeke,
4 blade 38'' x 30'' x 3'' bore, single blade rudders, stainless steel
3'' x 16 ft tail shafts with 800 gallon fuel capacity. The Liberty III
is a passenger carrying vessel, 58 ft in length 16 ft beam, 5 ft draft,
welded aluminum, 20 tons, 8V71 Detroit Diesel, Allison 2-1 reduction,
11 KVA Westerbeke, 4 blade 26'' x 25'' x 2 1/2 bore, hanging 30'' x
18'' blade, 2 1/2 stock rudders, stainless steel, 2 1/2'' x 11 ft tail
shafts, with 1000 gallons fuel capacity. The Liberty IV is a passen
carrying vessel, 65 ft in length, 24 ft beam, 6 ft draft, welded steel
hull, engine 12V-92 Detroit Diesels, twin disc 3-1 reduction, 15KVA
Westerbekes, 4 blades, 42'' x 40'' x 3 1/2 bore, handing 36'' x 20''
blade, 2 1/2 stock rudders, stainless steel, 3 1/2 x 15 ft in length
tail shafts, Ferstrum grid coolers on bottom plating, 75 tons with 900
gallons fuel capacity. Vendors with the capability required above must
indicate their interest within 15 days of this notice. No telephone
